I don't know if anyone will read my blog since it's not on anyone's site, but I just want people to e-mail me if they feel they have comments to make that they can't make on James Keown's blog site anymore.

Shawna: Thanks for posting to CHATTER. We've expressed doubts about the case against your brother and hope you'll help us keep our readers posted.

Try not to get discouraged. Keeping this blog might help in that regard.

Again, thanks for writing.

Hi. I found your site when I was looking for James' blog. I had heard that he had a blog on blogger.com. I hope that justice will prevail in this case and that if he is truly an innocent man, that he will be exonerated. However, I must ask: Did he really tell people that he was a student at Harvard Business School?? If that's true, why would he do that?

Hi Shawna. I'm sure you don't remember me, but I'm your cousin and I grew up with Jimmy. We didn't get to see each other very often, but you guys would all drive in to town every now and then and us older kids would play on the farm. My name is Kathy, Jimmy will know who I am. Please let him know that we are praying for him and we know that the Truth shall have the victory in this.
Shalom.

Shawna, You don't know me by my name is Eric and I went to school with your brother James from 7th-12th grade. I'm not sure if James did this or not (I truely hope he didn't) but I do know the James that I knew from school would not have it in him to commit this crime. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Shawna, As you know, I posted about James' arrest on my blog Left of Centrist. I do not assume anyone is guilty before they receive a trial. My only comments so far are that he is suspected and what the police say. I'm always interested in the other side of the story. My prayers are with you and your family.

Hello Shawna.

You are and your family on in my prayers regarding this tradgedy. But you have to ask yourself, who else would have poisoned Julie? Who had easy access to her personally, privately on a routine basis? Unless she was trying to commit suicide slowly over the course of the four months, but her being a nurse, wouldn't she do it in a less painful manner? I do know that just because someone pathologically lies that that does not make them a murderer, but I think you have to ask yourself those tough questions. Statistics of homicidal victims show that 83% knew their perpetrator, and of those, 70% were their spouses.

missourian your judging before the trial even begins. The only one who knows the truth God rest her soul is Julie. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty oh yeah the press knows all. The press only knows for the police want them to know or what them to tell. The only one and finally judge is God himself. So let's not judge on what you have read in the press. You didn't live their lives. Pass judgement on your self before any one else.

So when is your freak of a brother going to be out on bail? Do all of the women of Jefferson City need to be on the look out for him and make sure they protect their gatorade bottles!!! Bwahahaha!! I hope he rots in that Massachusettes prison. You have to give it to you brother, he was smart enough to commit murder in a state that does not allow capital punishment. Too bad though, I would have love to have been the one to throw the switch!!!

Shawna,

you probably have no memory of me, but technically I am your half sister. We just heard the information about James and I am trying to get as much truth as I can, since technically I am a Keown by name. If you have any truth to share I would appreciate hearing it. I will check back. I wish you all the best and hope this is not true. Unfortunately, our father was not around to help.

I'm a journalism student working on an article for my class about your brother's case. Information from you would be greatly appreciated and very helpful. You can let me know the best way to reach you by e-mailing me at vickyann06@gmail.com. Thanks!

Now that James has been found GUILTY I was curious as to why no blog comments have been left? Has anyone ever thought of what Julie's family has gone through during this?

I am soo glad that that miserable example of a human being is going to rot in prison for the rest of his life and have to think about what he did. I am a personal friend of Julie's extended family. I had the pleasure of knowing Julie and she was a wonderful and caring person. My thought and prayers are with Julie's family and my only hope is that they may now get some closure from this terrible terrible crime that your heartless cruel brother commited.

my only question to you, is do you now believe that he did it or are you still in denial? it is one thing to support your brother but to deny reality is quite another.

Shawna,
My name is Jeannie and I am Chuck Boyle's daughter who was married to your Dad's sister Willa. I last saw you when Jefferson City had the major flooding like in 1992 and you were quite young. You and your Mom came to Kalamazoo, MI for a family reunion. My Dad had a nick name for you that I can't remember, but it seems that it was a boy's name. Willa's grand daughter, Barb told me of James' trouble which I was so sorry to hear. I just wanted to tell you and your Mom that I am so sorry for all your going through and pray for peace for you both.

Just heard about and saw this tragic story on "48° Mystery" reruns. Pretty darn deplorable.

Amazing what an evil mind and $250,000.00 bucks will make a psychopath do.

Ah, bless, bless those left behind the evil one's destruction.

I am so sorry for you and your family. When a family member does something horrible, many don't realize the horrific impact it has on relatives and friends. I hope you realize that you are not the cause of, nor responsible for his actions. Please do your best to move on and have a healthy, happy long life. Also, never feel bad about loving James. You knew the other side of him. Take care and be well.
